We went over to Pia and Jamie's apartment. It is also an amazing place. They are individual apartments above some big box stores and it seems like it is the fifth floor but in reality it is only one floor above the stores. There is Winners, Save On Foods, Starbucks, Canadian Tire, Home Depot and across the street is the Liquor Store. The elevator delivers you outside to a huge roof garden where the apartments open and you feel like you are in a garden. Charlie is adorable and very friendly and doesn't seem to make strange. It was fun to hold him and see his cute little smile when he looked over at his parents. We walked down a few blocks to a great little pub where they had an interesting brunch menu. Jamie and Tony had a big breakfast meal and Pia a eggs benedict type meal and I had a huge fresh fruit bowl and another with granola and honey drizzled yogurt. It was great to see Pia and Jamie again.
We have finally figured out how to work the TV. It helps to turn on the cable! We had a big delay coming up from the car when we couldn't figure out why the car wouldn't lock. It turned out that Tony had inadvertently turned on a light switch and we couldn't figure out what was happening when there was a buzz and we couldn't lock the doors. It is a good safety feature so we won't have to worry about ever accidentally running the battery down.
My cousin Clem is suffering from memory loss so is in a nursing home. His brother said he may remember me specially since I am probably the only person who still calls him Clemmie. My cousin David has a place at Whistler and I just got an email from him saying he will be back on Tuesday so we will probably see him then. Tony is waiting to look at his bank accounts now that we have wifi at Colliers.
